No one from Chhattisgarh has been given a berth in the new Modi cabinet, it shows the waning strength of Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party leaders in Centre, taunted Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Communication Department Chief Shailesh Nitin Trivedi on Wednesday.
He gave his reaction on behalf of the Chhattisgarh's Congress unit.
The Modi government has formed an election focused cabinet and mainly inducted candidates from those states where polls are going to be announced, said the Congress leader.
Despite 11 MPs, none were given a berth in Modi cabinet is itself an injustice with Chhattisgarh, Nitin alleged.
He further said, there is election in Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh, therefore Prime Minister Modi selected more MPs from these states.
It reflects the political greed of Modi and Shah, the Congress Party statement said.
As there is no Minister from Chhattisgarh, the issues of the state were not strongly raised in the Modi government, Nitin said.
The present central government has not returned Rs 26000 crore GST money to the state yet. The central government is continuously rejecting the rice of Chhattisgarh farmers. State is not getting an ample quota of vaccines, leading to halting of the vaccination programme.
The existing biased view of the Modi government is harming the interest of Chhattisgarh, the Congress leader said.
Earlier in the Vajpayee government veteran leaders like Ramesh Bais, Raman Singh, Dilip Singh Judev were inducted in the central cabinet, but this time no one was given an opportunity. It is very shocking, Nitin said.
However, instead of giving reply on the serious allegations levelled by Congress Party, BJP top brass leaders maintain silence over the Modi cabinet decision.
However, Dr. Raman Singh made a tweet and asked the Bhupesh Baghel government to answer why farmers are facing shortage of Urea supply when ample stock of DAP and Urea is available. He also asked why you are writing a letter to the Prime Minister.
