Ujjain: The weather was open since Wednesday morning but it was very humid. But by 6 pm it started raining. The downpour continued till 8 pm. The night temperature was recorded at 26 degrees and the day temperature was 39.5 degrees.
This year during navatpa i.e. Rohini it rained heavily for the first four days. And it again rained on the penultimate day of Rohini.
The weathermen said that pre monsoon rains lashed the city again on Wednesday evening.
Medium to heavy intermittent downpours started at about 6.30 pm and continued till night with intervals. Power supply arrangements were hit in a big way across city. Roads dug by the Tata Projects Co for laying underground sewer pipelines added to the woes of commuters.
