BARWANI (MADHYA PRADESH): Acting on a tip-off police have cracked a case of theft and 5 motorcycles worth about Rs 4 lakh have been seized from the accused on Saturday.
On the morning of May 19, farmer Jagdish Sasta resident Chikliya police station Palsud went out on a motorcycle to sell vegetables from his house at 4:00 am as soon as he reached Dhaba Bawdi around 5:00 pm, on his motorcycle. About 5,6 miscreants came blocked Jagdish’s motorcycle, abused him and fled with Jagdish's Splendor motorcycle and money and 2 mobile phones.
A case of robbery was registered against the unknown accused in the police station Barwani Kotwali.
A team under TI Kotwali Rajesh Yadav comprising Sub-Inspector Nepal Singh, Ritesh Khatri Jagjodh, Devram More and others, was constituted.
On June 4, the team received a tip-off that, the accused are about to commit a crime again in Barwani, Palsud.
Yadav alerted his team and during checking Nepal Singh of the team on the Kasrawad bridge stopped two people sitting on a motorcycle on the basis of suspicion, both the people got off the motorcycle and started running away, which the team laid siege to and caught both.
Pintu son of Richu Bhawar and Bahadur son of Kaniya Dawar were arrested by the police.
The arrested accused have confessed to stealing about 4 motorcycles from Palsud and 1 motorcycle from Silavad around May 13, said police.
Four other accused are yet to be arrested in this case.
