Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The parents’ body, Palak Mahasangh, Madhya Pradesh, has urged the school education department to implement separate fee structures for online and offline classes. The school education department had invited suggestions on opening of schools.
The Palak Mahasangh, in its suggestions, has urged the school education department not to hold classes in any form—online or offline—till Class 5. It suggested that only online classes should be organised for the students of Classes 6-8.
Classes from 9-12 could be opened from July with certain riders. The parents’ body suggested that not more than 20 students should be allowed in a class. It also said that classes should not be conducted every day.
The government should pay for the insurance of all students coming to classes, besides making treatment of students free. The decision of opening schools should be taken by the collectors at the district level. A committee of parents should be formed in all the schools, the decision of which should be binding on all the institutions.
Separate fees should be decided for online and offline classes. It should not be more than 50% of the 2019-’20 session. There should not be any kind of fee hike this year.
“We’ve given concrete suggestions to the school education department after taking feedback from lots of parents,” said Prabodh Pandya, state general secretary of the Palak Mahasangh.
