With over 195 countries reaching a final agreement at UN climate talks (COP27) in Sharm el-Sheikh on Sunday, India which actively participated in the two-week long negotiations through multiple interventions welcomed its outcome paving the way for setting up of a loss and damage fund, and inclusion of “transition to sustainable lifestyles and sustainable patterns of consumption and production” in its cover decision.
