Raipur: Just days after the Chhattisgarh government reopened schools from August 2, several students have been reported COVID-19 positive.
As per information received, in the last three days, more than 29 students reported COVID positive. It started with two students in Jashpur developing Covid-19 symptoms. When examined, seven children along with a cook were found to be infected with COVID.
The administration sent all the infected people into home isolation and shut down the school till further notice. In Pathalgaon, Jashpur, on the third day a schoolteacher was found to be COVID positive.
As per the information received, till date, a few students have been found COVID positive in Korba, Jashpur, Balrampur and Surajpur.
The state education department has not issued any statement.
