Kolkata: Within three days West Bengal CID once again visited Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari’s house and took several videos to investigate the death of Suvendu’s bodyguard in 2018.
Anupam Chakraborty, a CID officer however refused to comment much during their investigation.
“We have done several videos of Suvendu’s house ‘Shantikunj’, his garage and also of the building where his security personnel stay and it will be a part of investigations,” said Chakraborty adding that Suvendu’s brother Divyendu and the rest are cooperating with the CID.
Divyendu Adhikari TMC MP who was earlier heard saying that sudden visit of the CID team can be detrimental to his father Sisir Adhikari’s health, on Saturday said that due to proper investigation of the matter the CID team is always welcome.
However, Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari stated that it’s a political game of the ruling party and also that no one can prove anything against him.

It can be recalled that in 2018 Suvendu’s bodyguard Subhabrata Chakraborty died by allegedly committing suicide.
On July 13, the deceased bodyguard’s wife, Suparna Chakrabarty had filed a complaint at Contai police station and the police started probe soon after that over the alleged suicide of former Transport Minister and now BJP Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari’s bodyguard’s death in 2018.
Almost after two and half years Suparna had lodged a FIR claiming that her husband didn’t commit suicide and was allegedly murdered.
“He was on duty. I was said that he had committed suicide. Instantly he was admitted to a government hospital in Contai and prior deterioration in health was shifted to a private hospital in Kolkata in an ambulance where he succumbed to death the next day. It was sheer negligence and its murder. Due to Suvendu being a heavyweight minister then could not say anything but now I want a proper probe,” said Suparna.
