BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has warned of a scarcity in water supply on Tuesday in some areas of Mumbai. The civic body, on Sunday, stated that water supply will be cut off or will be at low pressure from 10am to 10pm in some areas in western suburbs, including Juhu, Vile Parle, Santacruz, Khar and Andheri.
It took to Twitter and said, "On July 13, from 10 am to 10 pm water supply in some areas of Juhu, Vile Parle, Santacruz, Khar and Andheri will be cut off or will be supplied at low pressure. This one-day change is being made to streamline the water supply in these areas. We humbly request citizens to cooperate !"
The civic body mentioned that the valve will be replaced to make the supply smoother. However, to replace the valve, the supply needs to be cut off or put on low pressure in some areas.
The civic body also stated that they have detected some technical difficulties. Hence, necessary measures are needed to fix the issue. BMC urged citizens residing in these areas to store water and use it sparingly.
