The RAK Marg police reunited three children with their parents on Wednesday. The three had gone to a shop to buy chocolates on Tuesday. However, they forgot their way back home and were found outside Wadala railway station.
On July 13, at 7pm the three kids were found roaming below Wadala monorail bridge outside Wadala station. They were crying as they had lost their way.
“A resident, Mohammed Shaikh, found them and took the kids to the nearby police beat chowky as the kids were unable to give their proper address or any details about their parents. The kids were brought to RAK Marg police station,” said a police officer.
The police then circulated the children’s pictures among locals and social networking sites to track down their parents. The pictures and information were also shared with all police stations. “After running out of luck, the kids were sent to Mankhurd childrens’ home,” said the police officer.
On Wednesday, their parents approached the RAK Marg police.
“We found that the parents work at a construction site. They were busy at work when the kids went to buy a chocolate and lost their way. The parents approached us. After verification we will hand over the kids,” said Kumud Kadam, senior police inspector.
