Indore: The city is going to become self-sufficient in its medical oxygen requirement with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurating 11 oxygen plants, set up in 11 hospitals at an estimated cost of Rs 25 cr, on Saturday. These plants will generate 23.35 tonnes of oxygen. He will also perform bhoomi pujan of 25 other oxygen plants.
Collector Manish Singh informed here on Friday that the city is preparing for a possible third wave. Work is being done on a mission-mode for fulfilling the set target of generating 135 tonnes of oxygen at a cost of Rs 50 crores. In all 41 oxygen plants would be set up in 10 government and 31 private hospitals. These plants will produce 60.8 tonnes of oxygen. At present, 95 tonnes of oxygen is being produced.
Hospitals where CM will inaugurate the oxygen plants Aurobindo Hospital, Index Hospital, CHL Apollo Hospital, Chest Ward Hospital, MRTB Hospital, MTH Hospital, Madhya Bharat Hospital Mhow, Sevakunj Hospital, SMS Energy Hospital, Medanta Hospital and PC Sethi Hospital.

Arihant Hospital, DNS Hospital, Gokuldas Hospital, True-Care Hospital, Greater Kailash Hospital, Life Care Hospital, Indore Cloth Market Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Suyash Hospital, Shelby Hospital, Vishesh Jupiter Hospital, Apple Hospital, Unique Hospital, Laxmi Memorial Hospital, Eminent Hospital, Geeta Bhawan Hospital, Cure-Well Hospital, Verma Union Hospital, SNG Hospital, Super Specialty Hospital, CHC Depalpur, CHC Sanwer, ESI Model Hospital, ESI TB Hospital, Hukumchand Hospital.
Plants set up in 5 hospitals
In the last one month oxygen plants have been set up in 5 hospitals in the city and all have started working. These are Bombay Hospital, C-3 Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, Choithram Hospital and Anand Hospital.
