Badnawar: In an unfortunate incident, two persons ended their lives after they were allegedly harassed by a loan shark in the village. A case has been registered and a probe is on.
Both the deceased were identified as Pawan, 23, son of Bharatlal, a resident of Kod village under Kanwan police station and Narendra, 35, son of Premchand Patidar, a resident of Badnawar.
Both the deceased took loan on high interest from a local loan shark Rameshwar Chouhan. He was allegedly harassing the duo for the repayment of loan.
In the first incident, Pawan consumed salphos tablets at his resident on Monday night leaving a suicide note behind. He was taken to Badnawar. From Badnawar to Barnagar and later referred to Ratlam. Doctors declared him dead on Wednesday night. On Thursday, body was handed over to his kin.
Meanwhile, demanding case of abetment of suicide, family members stage protest with a body. Kanwan police station in-charge Dilip Singh Chouhan pacified the situation assuring family members of relevant police action in the matter.
In another incident, Narendra Patidar committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence. His family members informed that Narendra took loan from Rameshwar and the latter has been harassing him since long.
