Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Only 26 districts, where less than 25 per cent of the population has received the jab so far, will go for vaccination on Monday under Mega vaccination campaign.
“Covid -19 doses will be administered, under the Mega Vaccination Campaign, at 26 districts only on Monday,” said State Immunisation Officer Dr Santosh Shukla, said, adding, “Presently, the department has nearly 4.5 lakh vaccine doses, including both Covaxin and of Covishield.”
He further said that in most of big districts, including Bhopal and Indore, more than 25 per cent population has been vaccinated, and now the department will focus on remaining districts. “The mega vaccination campaign will now target those districts where less than 25 per cent population is inoculated.”
The campaign was launched on June 21 and will continue till June 30. It aims to vaccinate 50 lakh people. So far, 45 lakh people have been vaccinated, Dr Shukla added.
