Railway Protection Force is looking after the protection and safeguard of railway passengers, passenger areas and railway property. RPF of South Western Railway working diligently to ensure security of passengers and railway property. Yesterday RPF staff during their routine check in trains and at station premises, have noticed following irregularities and took action under Railways Act. On 27.05.2021,On-duty RPF Constable, Sharanbasava R. found one unclaimed plastic bag in disabled compartment of Train No. 07340 Vasco-da-gama - Yesvantpur Express at Kulem station. The bag was containing 12 Nos. of liquor bottles of Royal stag reserve whisky with MRP of Rs. 300/- each. The total value of Liquor was Rs. 3600/-. These Liquor bottles were seized and handed over to Excise Inspector at Sanguem for further disposal.
On 27.05.2021,Assistant Sub Inspector of RPF, Castlerock detained one authorized vendor for selling unauthorized water bottles in Train No. 02779 Vasco-da-gama – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express. A total 156 Nos. unauthorized water bottles have been seized from him and a case has been registered at Castle Rock Outpost under various sections of Railways Act.
On 27.05.2021, RPF Constable of Bangarpet checked Train No. 07210 KSR Bengaluru- Kakinada Town Seshadri Express at Bangarpet Railway station and during the rounds, he noticed some unclaimed bags. These bags contained Liquor in tetra packs of different brands worth a total value of Rs. 13,487/-. These liquor bags were seized and brought to RPF/Post/Bangarpet. The seized liquor Bags have been handed over to Excise Inspector of Bangarpet for further action and disposal.
