63,851 fresh cases were reported in India, taking the country's Covid tally to 22,14,269, as per data collated from state governments. India reported more than 1,000 deaths from Covid-19 in a single day for the first time on Sunday. On the brighter side, recoveries crossed 15 lakh to 15,30,070, accounting for 69% of the caseload.
