Sabarimala verdict: SC refers women's entry issue to larger bench

The SC on Thursday referred to 7-judge bench the review petitions against its earlier decision allowing the entry of women of 10-50 age group into Sabarimala temple. The majority judgment by CJI Ranjan Gogoi and justices A M Khanwilkar and Indu Malhotra said the issue raises serious questions about faith of a religious denomination, and hence requires consideration by a 7-judge bench.
